July…All About Horses

What a month! Talk about the full swing of Summer!  We kicked off July by celebrating Independence Day twice. We were invited to join friends for a celebration on the 3rd. We ate lots of good food and set off an obscene amount of fireworks between the summer storms.  We spent the 4th with more friends and ate more excellent food. This time we watched an obscene amount of fireworks, all from the comfort of a quiet pasture.  The rest of the month was for the horses. Aubrey spent many hours working with her mini horse Elsa, prepping for the Big Sky State Games as well as the Rockin’ Wranglers horse shows. Both were great experiences with different outcomes. Aubrey enjoys the process whether she walks away with ribbons or not. Of course, she sure likes when she walks away with ribbons.  August will be just busy with lots of hours prepping for fair!  Timothy has been working and helping out at the church with outdoor projects. A look back on June

Before I dive into the happenings of June, I should point out the obvious…this is a new blog. I cannot for the life of me get logged into my old one on my new phone. I tried and tried and even emailed whomever, and do not seem to be communicating with an actual person. So here we are, a new blog!  My younger sister and three of her girls drove to Montana for a visit. It was such a sweet time! Timothy and Aubrey really enjoyed getting to know their aunt and their cousins. It was the first time they had met. Eddie was home for a couple of days that they were here and he played “city tour guide” and showed them all of our favorite places.  We took them to Krav Maga, did backyard kettlebell workouts led by Eddie, walked to Moss Mansion and I introduced them to the soda station!  We also went antiquing, took a lot of flower pictures at a fun plant nursery/coffee shop and out to Pompey’s Pillar, where William Clark etched his name in the sandstone.  We ate lots of great fo...
